Can it record an entire 8‑hour night shift?

Yes. Plug the USB‑C cable into your car adapter and enable loop mode—ScoutCam records continuously without filling the card.

How clear are license plates in real darkness?

Most plates are readable up to ~15 m (50 ft) with standard headlights. For extra clarity, choose the 1080P‑Night setting in the menu

Does it overwrite old footage automatically?

When loop mode is on, the oldest files are replaced once the card is full—so you’re always covered without manual deletes.

Is the recording LED visible inside the cabin?
